Issue has been resolved.
A server-side PHP configuration issue at our hosting provider stopped the site connecting to its database. It's been fixed and everything is back to normal — nothing was lost, and any entries you'd saved before the outage are all there.
If you were part-way through entering something when it went down, it's worth double-checking it saved. Anything else not looking right, drop us a message via the support form and we'll take a look.
Our hosting provider has located a configuration error and this has been reset - it may take around 15-20 minutes to restart and allow Pulse to be acrtive again.
